I’m Jennifer and this is my blog. I’ll generally be chatting about my journey into the fashion world with my handbag label, as well as musings on style, entrepreneurship and anything else that pops up along the way.
My blog is my view of things, a personal journey. It’s lovely to have you here, I’m excited to get to know you. Welcome.
‘Jennifer Hamley England’ is an emerging label, which has been recognised by the Independent Handbag Designer Awards as one to watch. In June 2015 founder and designer, Jennifer Hamley, was recognised with two awards in New York City, and as the InStyle magazine reader favourite, for the ‘Model K.T. work bag’ – a luxurious design in calfskin leather.
Jennifer takes inspiration from the exciting world of modern business, travel and her love of problem solving. She takes these elements and combines them with high quality materials and style to create stand out pieces.
Approaching every project with a passion for discovery, creativity and fun, Jennifer creates designs for the stylish, high performing women of today. Women who live life by their own rules, who work hard & follow thier dreams. The designs are synonymous with these empowered women; fashion forward, hard working and with plenty of personality. With features such as iPad/tablet pockets (in some designs this is removable to be used separately as a clutch bag), A4 document pockets and USB power chargers – and always with an element of the unexpected.
The handbags are created from fine leather and Jennifer is currently researching vegan alternatives. The brand is ethically run, celebrating the talent of manufacturers and crafts people whilst ensuring that everyone is paid a fair wage and treated well.
Jennifer has a long history of design; studying furniture and interiors at university, and later millinery and handbag design. In the past she created and ran a successful cult brand ‘Head Full of Feathers’. After dreaming of doing so for years, Jennifer studied handbag design at the London College of Fashion in 2013 and was inspired to start her own label.
